Cosmetic Products Harvested in Versailles

Updated: Aug 16, 2021

The gardens of Versailles are some of the largest and most spectacular in the world and contain 372 statues, 55 water features, 600 fountains, and over 20 miles of water pipes. Hundreds of thousands of plants and trees have been continually planted over the years. While this makes the gardens look amazing, in the 17th century the fragrance from these blooms in Trianon was so overpowering it made guests feel ill and drove them away.

Also with such huge gardens, there was progress in the fields of botany and agriculture. The garden once comprised 400 botanical species from around the world such as pineapples, vanilla, coffee, and more.

A short walk from the Palace of Versailles you’ll find the “King’s Vegetable Garden” – the Potager du Roi.

It was built between 1678 and 1683 by French gardening genius Jean-Baptiste La Quintinie, at the request of Louis XIV. Open to the public, gardeners will love its beautiful paths, raised beds, statues and fabulous planting. The garden is a classified historic monument and absolutely remarkable. It’s where you’ll find one of the only original golden gates to survive the French Revolution.

At Tebep.com you will find 100% natural cosmetic products that are harvested in the beautiful gardens of Versaille, by using as the main ingredient the ancestral plants of these gardens. An example of one of these plants is the white Bonneuil cucumber.
